‘Days Of Our Lives’ Comings and Goings: Grant Aleksander Headed To DOOL

The latest breaking soap news reveals that Grant Aleksander has been tapped for a ‘Days of Our Lives’ role. The speculation which started when cast member Vincent Irizarry [Deimos Kirakis] tweeted an image of himself, Judi Evans [Adrienne Kiriakis] and Grant Aleksander in commemoration of the show’s 13,000th episode celebration proves now to be true. Jason47 confirmed the casting news by sharing Aleksander’s former ‘Guiding Light’ co-star Michael O’Leary’s Facebook post.

O’Leary in his Facebook post revealed that Grant Aleksander was on iHeart Live with Bobby Jones in which he spoke of him joining ‘Days of Our Lives’. The role which Aleksander was hired for and when exactly his air date will be is yet to be revealed as well as all the other information surrounding his new daytime gig.

Aleksander is most remembered for his role on the now defunct ‘Guiding Light’. He played Phillip Spaulding for decades spanning from 1983 – 2009. With his new role on the NBC soap opera he will join some of his former ‘Guiding Light’ co-stars including Vincent Irizarry, Judi Evans and Kassie DePaiva who is set to return as Eva Larson later this year. Irizarry, Evans and Aleksander were hot topics of daytime during their time of being co-stars. Evans played Beth Raines while Irizarry played Lujack.

With Irizarry’s picture of the 13,000th episode celebration of himself, Evans and Aleksander is it possible the three are already filming scenes together? We are yet to see Deimos and Adrienne cross paths and this is something GL fans have been waiting for since the day Irizarry made his ‘Days’ debut.
