‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) RUMORS: Sharon Believes She Is Pregnant, Patty Discovers The Truth

No one on “Young and the Restless” can play crazy as well as Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) – well, maybe- Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). Sharon is convinced that in order to make Dylan (Steve Burton) happy; she must give him his own child. She worries how he may react when he learns that their child was lost. She told Mariah (Caryn Grimes) that if she can get pregnant right away, he’ll never have to find out she lost the baby. Her plan is a complete long shot, but she told Mariah she cannot tell Dylan about the lost pregnancy.

Sharon’s intentions are well meaning. She isn’t trying to hurt Dylan; however, once he finds out about Sharon’s deceit he will be devastated. She told Mariah right before checking herself into Fairview mental institution that her plan worked; she is now pregnant. Mariah looked confused because it happened so quickly after losing her pregnancy. It is heavily speculated that her daughter doesn’t believe that she became pregnant so easily.

Meanwhile in Fairview, Sharon goes over her therapy plan with her doctor. She tells the doctor that her baby and Dylan mean the world to her. She reveals that she is just here to adjust her medication and get back to her life outside the hospital. Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) tells her that she understands that her family is important to her, but in order to treat her, Sharon will need to agree to group and individual therapy. Sharon reluctantly agrees.

Her behavior has fans buzzing about her mental stability. It seems that she truly believes that she is still expecting. Fans heard the doctor tell her that her blood test was negative, and she can try again next month. In the same conversation, she urged her to speak to her psychiatrist, immediately. Sharon was avoiding Patty Williams too. Patty already picked up on the fact that she seems to be hiding something from the group. Will Patty uncover that Sharon is not really pregnant? If so, will Sharon be in a place to accept the reality that she needs to be completely honest with Dylan about the lost baby? The chances are; she will find another reason and way to hide the truth from her family.
