‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Comings and Goings: Casting New Female Character ‘llsa’ – Computer Nerd Will Save Newman

“The Young and the Restless” released a casting call for a female reoccurring role. According to the exclusive casting call issued by the show, they are looking for a MAJOR reoccurring role for the character of llsa, according to Soap Opera Digest. It seems like after reading the casting call that she could be the one that will save Newman Enterprises from Paragon Project bankrupting the company.

She was described as a former child genius prodigy. She will be in her twenties or thirties, of Swedish or Danish decent, and very easy on the eyes. She is extremely passionate about computers- which has made her skilled in all things nerdy and given her massive cyber hacking skills. These skills led to her being socially awkward and a little on the quirky side. Llsa seems awkward and a little weird at first, but she blossoms into a beautiful productive member of Genoa City.

It seems likely she will be the one that figures out how to stop the Paragon Project from totally destroying Newman Enterprises. This week, it is revealed that the virus has affected Fenmore’s – a company that Newman owns. As more business entities of Newman’s umbrella is destroyed, Victor (Eric Braeden) grows more impatient to stop the virus from bankrupting his company. He had hoped Adam (Justin Hartley) knew how to stop the virus, but that proved to be a dead end.

She could also be cast as a romantic interest for Kevin (Greg Rikaart). Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Kevin decided they are better off as best friends and not romantically involved. Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) returned with a secret daughter in tow- either Kevin or Billy Abbott (Burgess Jenkins) will be the child’s father. Now, it is assumed that the father will be Billy-, bringing more complications to his newly reunited relationship with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Do you think Llsa could be the one that saves Newman? Will she get romantically involved with Kevin? It looks like the show is hoping that she will first appear at the end of November. Fans will find out then if she is the one that will put an end to the Paragon virus- once and for all.
