The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday December 16: John Gives Ashley Advice – Adam Angered by Victor’s Treatment of Sage

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, December 16, tease that several Genoa City residents will have some big decisions to make. At the park, John (Jerry Douglas) appears to Ashley (Eileen Davidson). She wonders if this is about Victor (Eric Braeden), but John says he’s not there on business.

John points to Ashley’s head and insists that she has to admit what’s wrong with her. Ashley blames low blood sugar, but John isn’t buying it. Once John says she’s a fighter, Ashley regains consciousness.

At Jabot, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) asks if Jack (Peter Bergman) plans on kicking her out like Billy (Burgess Jenkins). Jack won’t put up with Billy’s antics anymore. Phyllis wonders if Jack will put up with her. They bicker and Jack says they should try to get on the same page. Ashley walks in and gives Jack the news that she’s stepping down as CEO. Jack doesn’t understand why Ashley is doing this. Ashley tells her brother she loves him and they share a hug. She leaves without further explanation.

Adam (Justin Hartley) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) get all lovey-dovey at the penthouse. Victor shows up and gives Adam updates on his victory over the Abbotts. They talk about whether or not Jabot will survive the blow. Chelsea pipes up that she hopes Victor doesn’t need Adam’s services any longer. Victor replies that he’ll leave that up to Adam. There are still things to be done as far as rebuilding Newman Enterprises.

After making a toast, Victor tells Adam and Chelsea that he’s glad they’re together. Victor mentions that he wants to give Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) lots of Christmas presents. Adam looks pleased when Victor says he’s proud of him. Once Victor is gone, Chelsea opens up about her fears. She thinks Victor is tightening his grip around Adam.

In Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) penthouse, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) drops by for a visit. They discuss Sage’s problems with Nick (Joshua Morrow). Sage still thinks being apart is for the best right now. Nikki recalls falling down the stairs and losing her baby with Jack (Peter Bergman). Sage points out that Nikki’s relationship with Jack didn’t survive. Perhaps Sage and Nick aren’t meant to last either.

Victor comes over and Sage says she won’t move back to the ranch. Victor is OK with that, but he doesn’t want her living where she lived when Adam was posing as Gabriel. Sage rushes over to Adam and Chelsea’s place. She’s upset because Victor seems to want rid of her. Adam is furious and tells Sage she shouldn’t even answer the door when Victor comes around. Chelsea is pleased to see that Adam wants to stand up to his father again. However, Chelsea looks concerned by the fact that Sage’s complaints prompted Adam’s outburst.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that we’ll see some relationship drama at the athletic club. Lily (Christel Khalil), Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Devon (Bryton James) will discuss Joe’s (Scott Elrod) sentencing. He got six years in prison. Talk turns to Hilary (Mishael Morgan). They still don’t know who kidnapped her. Cane leaves and Lily opens up about her marriage. Devon suggests that Cane and Lily still love each other. Later, Cane and Lily agree to give their kids one more Christmas morning as a family.

In a suite, Neil (Kristoff St. John) tells Hilary that he can’t break up her marriage to Devon. Hilary insists that Neil wouldn’t be doing that. There’s nothing between Devon and Hilary now. Dr. Neville (Michael E. Knight) enters and checks out Hilary. The doc thinks he has the potential to do great things for many people. Dr. Neville asks Neil to invest in his research, but Neil refuses to be blackmailed. Once Dr. Neville is gone, Hilary tells Neil that she wishes he would’ve given him the money.

Hilary tracks down Devon and asks him to hand over the cash for Dr. Neville’s brilliant work. Devon doesn’t like the guy, but he’ll do it for Hilary. Hilary is grateful for Devon’s gift. Back in her suite, Hilary gives Neil a message and he comes to see her. They argue about Hilary’s affection for Neil and she gives him a kiss. Hilary believes Neil is still in love with her and thinks he’ll go public soon.

Ashley eavesdrops on Devon’s conversation with Dr. Neville. When she hears about the doc’s revolutionary medical research, Ashley wants to know more. Y&R rumors hint that Dr. Neville could make Ashley his next project. Stick with the CBS soap to see where this storyline will go from here.
