‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Peter Bergman Dishes on Fake Jack, Who He Really Is – Check Out Details of Imposter Storyline!

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that Jack’s (Peter Bergman) imposter is about to stir up all kinds of trouble. The latest twist has been the topic of conversation for most Y&R fans. According to TV Insider, Peter Bergman was just as shocked when he learned the “The Young and the Restless” was doing yet another doppelganger storyline. Bergman acknowledged that “we ask a lot of an audience when we do these types of stories.” In fact, many viewers have been complaining that Chuck Pratt, the head writer for Y&R, has taken the show off the deep end. However, if you can get past the craziness of an evil twin, it has the potential to be a pretty entertaining storyline. Peter Bergman agreed that you just have to enjoy the plot for what it’s worth. “I don’t know that I would have invited this, but I’m having a ball now that it’s here,” Bergman said.
The good news is that “The Young and the Restless” writers don’t expect anyone to take this storyline too seriously. Bergman noted that “the challenge is to make it entertaining and the best way to do that is to make a lot of it funny.” Bergman even joked that Victor (Eric Braeden) must shop at “Doppelgangers R Us.” The rumors say extra twists are on the way as we learn more about the imposter.
Victor found the lookalike in a Peruvian prison and he’s studied every aspect of Jack’s life to prepare for his new job. Of course, we all know the scheme won’t go off without a hitch. Bergman hinted that fake Jack could go rogue as the plan gets underway. “When you bring somebody in that’s unpredictable, unpredictable things will happen and Victor will find that he can’t control this guy.” Jack’s double will even find himself interested in Jack’s sister, Ashley (Eileen Davidson)! “I don’t know how far the writers will dare take that, but we’re definitely having some fun there,” Bergman said. i refuse to watch it !! I record fast forward all this foolishness !!! The only part of it I watch is Adam and Chelsea !!! I will start watching the whole show when it is over and Victor gets his !! Hopefully the one that is murdering people will get Victor !!!!! One could only hope !!!! By the way I’m only attacking the character not the actor !!!!
It is always good to bring some kind of twist in story lines. It makes us get upset but in a good way, we always look forward to know what will happens next. Without a little crazy scene we would loose interest. So keep what you do best, make us want to smash the TV. Love you guys.

One thing Victor didn’t plan well and he couldn’t is the fact that the imposter Jack doesn’t know about Adam. That will be interesting…

It has become plain ridiculous!! What happened to the Y&R that was entertaining as well as EDUCATIONAL on so many important topics like rape, abortion, various illnesses? This has gone too far, and after over 25 years of watching, seriously considering turning it off!
Utterly over stupid crap from this new writer. The show has no rhyme or reason anymore just chaos and although it is rather funny there is not drama left and no stories that develop and show the characters develop and grow. It is just disaster after disaster, twisted story lines that are comical but not that engulfing mostly just stupid and silly. Pratt must be hired to completely destroy the once upon a time best soap on daytime. Yes some viewers find this interesting for NOW, but they will bore of the stupidity of it all and watching the characters they once loved become a comedy group. Laughter is nice but it is not what this show was and never will be again. New characters are silly and the old ones are unrecognizable. Sad to watch this show go so far off the edge.

I hate the storylines of most of the show I also record it and fast forward to the parts of Chelsea and Adam. The story is boring with a old taste to it! Stupid and so unreal with the Jack storyline!
I love the show but there is to many things going on at once. Find the murder . Get Adam and Chelsey .squared away. And please don’t drag this thing out with Jack and Kelly. Let Adam save the day and Jack.

I must admit as a 30 yr. Veteran of watching Y&R I was shocked that they would have TWO twin stories on the same soap. Instead if being upset I decided to go with the flow and enjoy it for what it is. I was so excited I guessed right from the first day.. that Kelly was not dead! But she sure is crazy!
The story lines are getting too ridiculous. I FF almost everything. I can’t think of one story line that is good but this final one (Jack look alike) is enough to through me off the deep end. I also hate when they recycle stories too!!!

This storyline is bull—t. It is so far fetched and unbelievae.If the end result is to get the show off the air because noone watches anymore, the time us fast approaching. What a shame. Y&R will be replaced by yet another dunb talk show.
whoever this new rider is should be fired immediately. This story has gone so far off the rails that it is absolutely absurd and stupid. How many more doppelgangers are we going to have? Why do they always make sharing the punching bag? Abby and Stitch make me want to vomit summer and Kyle make me want to vomit .I cannot hardly stand any of the characters anymore they have made them all ugly, nasty, mean spirited, stupid, little Millennials and their parents are just as bad. Whoever is riding this show should be fired immediately. I have never seen such a travesty as what they’re doing to this once iconic soap opera.
