What is with all of these soap opera actors and them bringing the drama into real life? Recently, a catfight broke out via Twitter that involved two ladies of the “Young and the Restless” cast.
Things got heated between Eileen Davidson and Victoria Rowell and the two could not keep their comments to themselves. Victoria Rowell has recently been heavily promoting her campaign “Dru4Diversity,” which accuses CBS, Sony, and the rest of the “Young and the Restless” cast and crew of racist behavior on set. Of course, her tweets did not go unnoticed and things quickly got heated.

Everything started when Victoria Rowell tweeted links to all of her petitions and campaigns. Then, @BriBuckhead decided to tweet and ask Eileen Davidson if she fought against racism on the set of “The Young and the Restless.”
When Victoria Rowell saw this tweet, the Twitter war started. Rowell responded to @BriBuckhead on Twitter and said, “Good question,” insinuating that Eileen Davidson did not do anything to fight the racism that occurred on set.
Eileen Davidson saw Rowell’s tweet and then responded by saying, “Excuse me What am I being accused of? and WHY????” Davidson seemed confused by the accusations, but Victoria Rowell clarified immediately.
Rowell responded by saying, “Don’t be fooled by faux outrage over race/economic inequality – same folks work in corp settings/do NOTHING 2 change paradigm.” Rowell is saying that Eileen Davidson is only tweeting about the racial issues involving Charleston, South Carolina, to increase ratings and appear as though she is fighting for equality.
Davidson responding by saying “Ok. What? Victoria Rowell has accused me of being a ‘ratings seeker?’ I have no idea how what I tweeted about Charleston became this.”
Victoria Rowell proceeded to block Eileen Davidson on Twitter, and Davidson, who noticed that she was blocked from Rowell’s page, said this, “Oh LORD. Victoria Rowell blocked me! Haha. FYI she and I have never had issues. GO figure. Love on…and yes. I’ll be at the fan event!”
Wow, things got pretty serious rather quickly. We understand that the issue in Charleston, South Carolina is a sensitive one, and to be completely honest, yes, there are a lot of people who are tweeting about the issues, “showing their support,” just to make themselves look good. However, we do not think it was right for Victoria Rowell to call out her former cast member and accuse her of being a “ratings seeker,” and implying that Davidson allowed racism to happen on the set of The Young and the Restless.
Fighting over Twitter will not solve anything. There is racism in the world to this very day, but bickering amongst your former co-workers is not going to bring the change that Rowell seeks.
What do you think of this entire situation?

Victoria is jealous of all the Y&R cast because they didn’t support her when she was fired..She tried to pull the race card and they let her go..Don’t blame CBS for one second. No one is buying her crap.
Charleston is in South Carolina, not North Carolina.
Thanks Robert, a typo 🙂 Fixed!
