‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Mara McCaffray Joins Cast As Hacker Natalie – Possible Love Interest For Kevin

“The Young and the Restless” casting news teased that Mara McCaffray will be joining the cast, CBS Soaps in Depth reported on Friday. The CBS daytime drama announced the role of Natalie was cast on a reoccurring status.  The show described her character as a tech whiz with a passion for the cyber life but comes out of her shell after you get to know her. Originally, her character was named ‘Isla.’

There has been some reference to her character this past week when Kevin [Greg Rikaart] talked about a computer hacker from Europe that helped him come up with an amazing concept. Mariah [Camryn Grimes] pushed him to reveal details about his idea; however, after he explained it, she still wasn’t sure what he was talking about. It was clear that this concept could land him in hot water, implicating him in the Paragon scandal.

Mara McCaffray’s first air date will be Jan. 15, 2016, when Natalie arrives in Genoa City to have an in-person meeting with Kevin. If the concept is as big as Kevin believes it is, the two of them can change both Jabot and Newman Enterprises. It may get messy if Victor Newman [Eric Braeden] finds out about his idea.

When Natalie arrives, aside from her project with Kevin, she will likely create drama between Mariah and Kevin. The friendly duo has a deep friendship, and tried making love, but it went very wrong, on all accounts. Will the threat of another woman taking Kevin from her, force Mariah into professing her love for Kevin—again?

McCaffray is a recent graduate of Wake Forrest University, and just getting started with her acting career. Mara briefly appeared in the movies “Ordinary Wilderness” and “Homeless.”  Soap Opera Spy will reveal more about Natalie when more details are known about her character.
