‘The Young and the Restless’ News: Eric Braeden Confirms He Just Signed Extension, Tweets Fans to Say Victor Newman “NOT LEAVING THE SHOW!!”

“The Young and the Restless” news reveals that Eric Braeden is getting a little fed up with all the rumors that he’s leaving the role of Victor Newman on the CBS soap. If you’ve been worrying that Victor would soon exit Genoa City, Braeden’s recent tweet will put your mind at ease. Braeden already tweeted that the rumors were false on April 16, but that still wasn’t enough proof for some fans. On July 30, Braeden sent out another tweet to make things perfectly clear.

Braeden wrote, “For all of my friends on twitter: I AM NOT LEAVING THE SHOW!! I JUST SIGNED AN EXTENSION, SO KINDLY DON’T ASK ME THAT QUESTION AGAIN! THANKS.” That’s in all caps, folks. Braeden even threw in a few exclamation points for good measure. Obviously, Braeden isn’t going anywhere and anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is just plain wrong.

Some Y&R fans had been predicting that Victor would be killed off, but that’s clearly not happening now that Braeden has extended his contract. Other “Young and the Restless” viewers think Victor may be sent to prison, but that possibility seems a bit unlikely now as well. Since Victor is going to be on the show, they’ll probably want him interacting with other characters rather than sitting in a prison cell. There’s no point in paying big bucks for Eric Braeden if you’re just going to stick Victor in the slammer.

It’s starting to sound like Victor will get off scot-free as usual. Victor is a seemingly unstoppable force.
