‘The Bold and The Beautiful’ (B&B) News: Congratulations To New Ironman Katherine Kelly Lang – Finished Ironman Triathlon in Kona, HA

“Bold and the Beautiful” veteran Katherine Kelly Lang made the headlines and this time it was not for her role as Brooke Logan on the CBS hit daytime drama. She joined the elite few who became an Ironman and finished the Ironman competition. In almost 16 hours, she ran 26.2 miles, biked 112 miles and swam 2.4 miles. It is quite the accomplishment; Katherine Kelly Lang should be proud of herself.

For about a week before the competition, she began promoting her involvement in Ironman. She ran for Cancer Awareness, and for validation that she could pull it off. She said the best part of the race was being able to hug her ‘sweetie’ afterwards and hear the words, “You did it!” After the race, she posted the hardest part of recovering post competition is rehydrating and rests enough to resume normal activities. She had a few days to recuperate since she wasn’t due to film in L.A. until Wednesday.

The Ironman competition is a rough race- only the truly strong can pull it off. It takes an enormous amount of dedication to training and a huge heart and will to make it through the difficult journey. Many people attempt to complete the Ironman competition, only to fail. For example, Celeb chef, Gordon Ramsey attempted the same Ironman as Lang, but dropped out due to being unable to complete the race.

Soap Opera Spy would like to extend their congratulations to Katherine Kelly Lang for her HUGE accomplishment of finishing the Ironman competition.
