‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Liz Shares Jason Morgan Break-Up News With Kids, Will Little Jake Freak Out?

 ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst] can’t put it off any longer – she’s got to tell her sons that she and Jason Morgan [Billy Miller] have broken up and it looks like it’s for good. The kids will not take this well.

This is news that will ruin the kids’ Christmas and leave Liz and her little family sad and all alone for the holidays. But the question is, how much will Liz tells the boys about the reasons for the split and how will the kids react, Jake Spencer [James Nigbor] in particular?

Of course, the primary reason for the split is Liz lying to Jason about his identity. But Liz didn’t foresee that back when she started the lie – her knee-jerk was to think that Jason would leave her for Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] once he knew he was married.

From Jason’s perspective, Liz didn’t have enough faith in his love for her to tell him the truth. But Jason will soon see that Liz was operating from a place of love and that the deception was not about cheating anyone else out of Jason, but her keeping the man she loves.

But Jake, Cameron Spencer [Michael Leone] and Aiden Spencer [Jason David] will soon notice that Jason is nowhere to be seen. They’ll want to know where their new Dad has gone to and why he’s not there for the holidays.

Liz has to come up with an explanation. What will it be? Will Liz say that Jason can’t be with them now since he has another life including a wife and another son? The break-up will hit Cameron and Jake particularly hard.

Jake knows Jason is his biological dad, so he won’t understand why his father isn’t there for him. And Jason promised to adopt Cameron as well, so he could finally have a dad. All three kids will be hurt by Jason’s absence, but it will be little Jake that acts out the most.

If Jake sees Sam as the obstacle to his parents being together, there’s no telling what he’ll do. GH spoilers hint that Jake will soon take action that could put Sam’s life in danger. If Sam thinks Jason might reconcile with Liz, she’ll take steps to try and keep them apart.

But Jake will see what Sam is doing and move to stop her. Jake has had a confusing life what with all his time on Cassadine Island. Being back with Liz and Jason is the family that little Jake has been denied for so long – and he won’t let Sam stand in his way.

Jake’s antics could be one more unifying factor that could bring Liz and Jason closer together – and that Sam could unknowingly trigger by meddling in Jason’s love life. Not only is this a big emotional upheaval for Liz’s boys, but for Liz as well.

When Liz sees how devastated her boys are at losing Jason, she’ll have to acknowledge that this is her fault. Liz will see how much hurt she’s caused by her lies. This will change Liz’s mindset from defensive and rationalizing her actions to seeing some hard truths about herself.

Liz will hold herself accountable for her absolute selfishness in keeping Jason’s identity secret. Liz will finally let herself see the truth – that she has hurt so many people with her lies.

She’ll start to think that maybe she deserves all the attacks coming her way – from Sam, from Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] and from Jason as well. This is the worst it can get for Liz.

But just when Liz thinks it’s all over and her life is ruined, Jason may give her hope. Is there a Christmas miracle coming for Liz and her boys? Will Jason decide that he needs to be with them and keep the promises he made to her boys?

But will Sam interfere in their shot at happily ever after? Looks like there’s a lot more mileage to come from the Jason-Liz-Sam love triangle and there’s no telling which woman Jason will ultimately choose. What do you think? Will Jason reconcile with Liz, at least for now?
