‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers Wed, September 9: Sloane Threatens Anna, Jake Has Memories, Sonny In Surgery-Family Rushes To Hospital

It’s a nice day for a mob wedding in Port Charles – but the groom is near death – check out these ‘General Hospital’ spoilers for Wednesday’s GH episode, September 9.

First, the non-wedding, but murder-related stuff. Kyle Sloane [Robb Derringer] is being a petty jerk because Anna Devane [Finola Hughes] won’t date him. It’s because he was a dirt bag and wouldn’t help Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] and Jake Doe [Billy Miller] as promised. Sloane flat out tells Anna that she’d better make good on the immunity deal or they can be cell mates at Pentonville.

Sloane is the only one who knows Anna shot Carlos Rivera [Jeffrey Vincent Parise] in cold blood. But there are rumors that Carlos might have survived the shooting. If so, Sloane’s threats will be meaningless. Also, Sloane will be dead soon, so Anna only needs to evade justice for a bit longer until Sloane is killed off (of course, she doesn’t know that).

Anna will go to Jordan Ashford [Vinessa Antoine] and has to decide whether to push for the immunity deal for Sloane to save her neck or see justice served all around. For now, though, Jordan is too distracted by son TJ Ashford’s [Tequan Richmond] brush with death to worry too much about Sloane. Jordan tells Anna that Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] was shot and how TJ was used for bait.

Jordan rants that no one is safe around Sonny. She wants TJ away from Sonny, but TJ is way too close to Sonny and likes being part of the “family” especially now that he’s lost Shawn Butler – which TJ blames Jordan for (rightly so). Don’t look for TJ to pack his bags, despite the danger. TJ is touched that Sonny came unarmed to save him and they will be closer than ever.

Julian Jerome [William deVry] has the perfect alibi for Sonny’s shooting – he was at the PCPD hanging out with little sister Ava Jerome [Maura West]. Ava vents to Julian that today is Sonny’s wedding and that baby Avery will have a new mom in Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright]. Ava says she would do anything to stop this. Julian also laments the loss of baby Leo. The siblings bond over their sadness.

Now to the bloody stuff! Jake shows up at Sonny’s place drenched in blood and stuns Carly. Dante Falconeri [Dominic Zamprogna] will know immediately this has to do with his dad. Carly is shocked that Sonny was shot, but grateful to Jake for being there to help him. Dante calls in to the PCPD and everyone takes off for the hospital.

The shooting scenario triggered muscle memory in Jake – noticed how fast he took down all those gunmen? After he breaks the news to Carly and he’s got a moment to think, Jake will be hit with some recovered cerebral memories as well that broke loose as a result of him being back where he was so many times before – in danger and saving Sonny’s life.

And wasn’t it cool that when Sonny was so out of it and heard Jake’s voice, he knew it was Jason? He said, “I knew you’d come – you always do.” Will Sonny remember that exchange? At the least, Sonny has got to stop hating Jake and acknowledge the great thing he did for him in saving his life. Both Sam and TJ can attest to Jake saving the day – and Sonny’s life – without a doubt.

Sonny is rushed to the hospital and into surgery. Likely we won’t see any closure on this today and it will be touch and go to amp up the drama. Also, today or tomorrow, we should finally see Kristina Corinthos-Davis [Lexi Ainsworth] back in Port Charles for the wedding who will then rush to the hospital to see her injured father.
