‘General Hospital’ News: Tristan Rogers Air Date Nears – How Long Is Robert Scorpio Staying On ‘GH?’

“General Hospital” fans are on edge waiting [ever so patiently] as the anticipation builds for Robert Scorpio [Tristan Rogers] return to Port Charles today. Scorpio will be returning to assist Dr. Patrick Drake [Jason Thompson] find Robin [Kimberley McCullough] to reunite her with Emma [Brooklyn Rae Silzer]. Tristan Rogers posted to social media on Monday, “Just taped my last show of 2015. Be back in ’16. The adventure continues.”

Immediately after he posted the update, fans went in a frenzy about the possibility that Scorpio could be staying in Port Charles past the 10-13 episodes he originally agreed to several months ago. Rogers has stated multiple times that he is thrilled to be in Port Charles—as long as it doesn’t conflict with the taping of “The Young and the Restless” scenes. Tristan has been vocal about how much he’s enjoyed returning to “GH” this time around—stating his scenes with Finola Hughes [Anna DeVanne] has been an enjoying experience.

Robert Scorpio will show up on canvas later in the week [December 17]; he is expected to team up with Anna to find Robin. Patrick starts to worry that Robin COULD be in trouble. Little does he know; she is in serious trouble, and could end up dying before they locate her secret whereabouts.

Rogers has been vocal in connecting with his fans since reprising the role of Robert Scorpio. Several weeks ago, he took to Twitter to ask his fans what they want to happen with Robert during his short stint on the show. Most fans replied they would like to see Tristan return to “GH” with a contract.

The actor has remained mute on how long his stint will be. At first, he reported he would appear in ten episodes, but now fans aren’t so sure. His latest tweet told the fans that he’d return in 2016—it isn’t clear if he was speaking of returning next year as Colin on “Y&R” or as Robert Scorpio.

This Thursday, December 17, he will reprise his iconic role, and should be on for several weeks at least. Kimberley McCullough stated that Patrick and Robin would be reunited; however, the reunion will be brief. “If you blink you could miss it,” Kimberley noted.
