“General Hospital” casting news includes the return of Brandon Barash as Johnny Zacchara in December. Johnny is coming back to Port Charles and he’ll be up to no good.
The last time “GH” fans saw Johnny he had taken off in Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) car – with her assistance, of course. Executive producer Frank Valentini reveals that Johnny Z’s arrival in Port Charles will “spell one thing: t-r-o-u-b-l-e,” to Soap Opera Digest. Valentini also says, “Hold on tight, “GH” fans, because things are going to get absolutely crazy good in Port Charles in the coming months.”
Brandon’s real life wife Kirsten Storms is excited to see her hubby back at work. She joked on Twitter, “Looks like we will be seeing Johnny in Port Charles soon. I’m stoked because I don’t get enough of @BrandonBarash at home.” Is there a possibility that the couple’s daughter Harper Barash will return as Georgie? That certainly a possibility!
The kind of trouble Johnny can get into – or cause – is endless. From Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) to Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), even Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) or Ava Jerome (Maura West) – Zacchara might be involved in any number of storylines. After all, Lulu is still reeling from Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) betrayal and Johnny Z could be just what Lulu needs. Or maybe Johnny is back in Port Charles to steal Maxie away from Nathan?
If Johnny is still involved with the Zacchara family that could spell trouble for both Sonny and Ava. They are so consumed with the custody battle over baby Avery they may not have enough attention focused on their mob interests. This gives Johnny a huge opportunity to get a foothold in Port Charles again.
What do you think “GH” fans? Are you excited to see Brandon Barash return as Johnny Zacchara? What kind of t-r-o-u-b-l-e do you think Johnny will cause? Will he have his sights set on Maxie or Lulu or someone else entirely? We’ll just need to stay tuned to see what happens on “General Hospital.”

yaaaaaay!!
Oh boy !!! This is going to be a one juicy GH now with Brandon Barash back on board. I am so happy the new writers are bringing back fan favorites. I hope he stays around for quite a while.
It’s a shame Bruce Weitz can’t return from the dead. He is one of my favorite actors and I stay in touch with him via FB. Looking forward to some great storylines.
