2. Rick’s an Austrian musician, singer-song writer,actor and author.
3. Rick was a member of the pop rock group Zoot from 1969 to 1971.
4. Rick had a #1 hit with his song “Jessie’s Girl” in 1981,in both Australia and the U.S. Which he received the Grammy award for best male rock vocal.
5. In 2010, he published his auto biography, Late, Late night: A Memoir.
6. Rick is the son of Norman Spring Thorpe, an Australian army career officer.
7. In 1978, Rick played the character of Zac in Battlestar Galactica.
8. In 1984, Rick made a full length feature film titled Hard to Hold, and in 1998, he played in the film Legion.
9. Rick appeared in Hawaii Five-O playing the role of a photographer Renny Sinclair.
10. In October 1984, he married his girlfriend Barbara Porter, in his family’s church in Australia.
