‘General Hospital’ (GH) Poll: Has Ava Lost Her Daughter Kiki For Good? VOTE!

‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate that Ava Jerome [Maura West] may have lost her oldest daughter Kiki Jerome [Hayley Erin] for good and reveals baby Avery is also at risk. Here’s a look at some action this week in Port Charles to do with Ava and her daughters. Kiki is rightfully furious at her mother Ava for shagging her BF Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig] yet again. At this point, Ava and Morgan are clearly repeat offenders when it comes to cheating on Kiki – and they’re likely not done yet.

Kiki is reeling now after the murder of her dad Silas Clay [Michael Easton] and her estrangement from Ava. Comfort will come to Kiki from strange quarters that could permanently cripple her relationship with Ava – in the form of Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford] and Franco [Roger Howarth]. This is an interesting plot brewing courtesy of new writers Shelly Altman and Jean Passanante that I can’t wait for the show to explore. I’m a huge fan of Fran-ina and this story has the potential to be magic.

In the coming days, we’re going to see Nina, Franco and Kiki set up house as an oddball family unit that will definitely put the fun in dysfunctional. It makes perfect sense, in many ways. For starters, Franco was under the impression for years and years that Kiki was his daughter even though he couldn’t be with her. This means Franco has deep-seated paternal feelings for Kiki that he clearly demonstrated at The Floating Rib when he ran off the handsy guy that was being too forward with Kiki.

But what about Nina and Kiki? They certainly had no affection for each other, but now have discovered common ground to bond. Both have mothers that betrayed them by sleeping with their men, both of their mothers are murderous, and both their mothers have hurt them in ways that can’t be repaired. Plus, you’ll recall that Kiki is the result of Ava cheating with Silas when he was married to Nina and then Nina lost her baby with Silas (as far as we know) during her coma.

Kiki could have been Nina’s daughter and is the right age to be the child she lost with Silas – plus Nina can see Silas in Kiki. And, as a huge bonus, Nina feels like Ava cheated her out of a child – that’s why she kidnapped baby Avery – and this would be taking back a child from Ava and scoring some major karma points. Kiki needs a family right now and Nina and Franco will step up in a big way to be loving parents in her time of crisis. This will infuriate Ava which will be sweet revenge for Kiki, Franco and Nina.

And to make matters worse, as Ava is losing Kiki to Fra-nina, Ava may also be losing baby Avery to a medical crisis. Ava shows up at the hospital with Avery in jeopardy and this medical ordeal is rumored to reveal something off about Avery’s paternity. Silas performed the DNA test on Avery using Carly Corinthos’ [Laura Wright] DNA and Avery was not a match. If that test was accurate, it only means that Avery is not related to Carly and therefore, not Morgan’s child.
That leaves open a whole host of possibilities including that Avery somehow got swapped (perhaps during her kidnapping) and may not be Ava’s baby. In another vein, Silas and Carly could have conspired to switch the DNA results to keep Ava’s claws out of Morgan and to save Ava’s life. Carly didn’t want Avery to be Morgan’s child so that he could hopefully break ties with her for good. And Carly could have convinced Silas that if the baby was Sonny Corinthos’ [Maurice Benard], Sonny wouldn’t kill Ava.

Avery’s paternity is far from certain and will become relevant with the medical ordeal she’ll go through soon. And this stress will have Ava longing for Kiki who will be firmly ensconced with Franco and Nina and not open to renewing her relationship with bio-mom Ava. To aggravate things, Kiki may show up with her new surrogate parents to check in on Avery and this will aggravate Ava, Morgan, Carly and Sonny who all have a bone to pick with the wacky duo and won’t want to see Kiki with them.

This storyline is a great chance for the new head co-writers to explore and explain Nina’s backstory and make both she and Franco more than caricatures of craziness and deepen their relationship and storyline while injecting them into the larger fabric of Port Charles and put them into contact with more of the regular characters. Can’t wait to see so much more of this and find out if Ava has lost Kiki for good.
