‘General Hospital’ Casting News: Jeffrey Vincent Parise and Sean Blakemore Off GH – Second Live Episode Last Day for Carlos and Shawn!

The latest “General Hospital” news reveals that more characters are out at GH. ABC Soaps in Depth is reporting that the second live episode was the last day on set for Jeffrey Vincent Parise. Parise’s character, Carlos, was shot and killed by Anna (Finola Hughes) in revenge for Duke’s (Ian Buchanan) death. While most GH fans expected Carlos to bite the dust, there was another exiting cast member that took the soap world by surprise. It was recently revealed that Sean Blakemore, who plays Shawn, had wrapped up his time at “General Hospital.” Blakemore won’t be taping any more shows, but you can still catch him in scenes he taped before the live episodes aired. Frank Valentini, the executive producer of GH, gave Parise and Blakemore a cake to bid them farewell. These two actors will only add to the long list of recent “General Hospital” departures. Of course, viewers are also saying goodbye to Duke, Luke (Anthony Geary) and more. There are plenty of rumors that other fan favorites could be saying so long to Port Charles in the near future.

While “General Hospital” spoilers hint that there are some good storylines ahead, the dwindling cast list could present a problem for the ratings. Will fans continue to support the soap after their faves hit the road? Time will tell, but it’s a tricky situation for producers.
