She explained back in the 1990s, upon arrival in the morning, they would hand you a 50 plus page script. You had to memorize 10-20 pages of lines. You had to memorize it within hours. “Soap work is really fast and furious. You filmed one show a day. Nowadays, soaps tape bits of the show and put it all together, “she explained. She said it was the hardest job you could imagine. She would go home at night and cry while taking a relaxing hot bath. She was consumed with the soap- and that overwhelming sense of responsibility made her cry every single day.
She said working on the soap helped prepare her for anything life threw at her. She always thinks back at her life while working on “Days,” and mumbles to herself, “If I can survive “Days of Our Lives,” I can survive anything.” Now a days, Rinna, is her own brand. She sells jewelry and clothes, and an “RHOBH” cast member. She said last year that one day she’d like to work on another soap opera, just to see if she still has what it takes to be a success in daytime TV.
