Since then Bree has left the canvas, and the character was no longer necessary. But, it looks like Marie Wilson made a lasting impression on the DOOL cast and crew, because they invited her back to play a new character. According to “Days Of Our Lives” spoilers from Soaps.com, Marie Wilson is returning to the NBC soap opera as a woman named Summer. The site reports that Summer, “passionate loner who has been in and out of institutions and is a small-time thief.” As if there isn’t enough crime in Salem already!
This actually isn’t Marie Wilson’s first time on a soap opera, the actress also starred on the now cancelled drama “As The World Turns,” as Meg Snyder from 2005-2010. And, she did a brief stint on “The Bay” as well. Of course, unlike the other daytime dramas still on the air, “Days Of Our Lives” films several months in advance. Marie Wilson’s first air date as Summer hasn’t been revealed yet, but it will not be until some time in 2016. And, we’re totally okay with that – because there are a ton of loose ends that need to be tied up on DOOL before we start meeting any more new characters!
